Ausmelt has developed an extensive training and commissioning programme for client personnel, including operators, shift supervisors, metallurgists, plant managers, maintenance personnel and other technical staff. This programme is timed to run parallel to the plant construction schedule so that knowledge and training is fresh in the minds of operators during commissioning and plant start-up.

Ausmelt's Knowledge Transfer Programme (KTP) can be tailored to individual client needs, particularly with regard to the level of experience client operators have with Ausmelt or TSL technology. Typically Ausmelt's KTP incorporates six phases that cover basic process understanding through to efficient and sustainable plant operation.
